Over the past 25 years, large multinational corporations (MNCs) have been under increasing pressure from capital markets, consumers and governments to contribute to the Millennium/Sustainable Development Goals, firstly by improved performance on environment, social/labour and governance (ESG) issues and secondly by reporting their performance more effectively.
