One of the key activities during my stay at STIAS is, together with Margareta Norell Bergendahl, to finalize the agenda of the up-coming Round Table meeting to be held at STIAS in February 2016. The theme of the RT will be “Innovation for Prosperity”, focusing on innovation-driven growth in sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition, I will work on a project dealing with regulation, entrepreneurship and industrial dynamics, partly funded by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation. Different aspects on mobility of production factors, the role of the entrepreneur as an agent of change, and policy implications are some of the issues dealt with. This project also has relevance for the coming 2016 RT. A final ambition is to start organizing a coming and funded research project, Combat Climate Change, where economists and natural scientists will cooperate closely.
