The project is a comparative study of the South African-born, now Australian writer J.M. Coetzee in his post-2000 or Australian phase. The discussion of his millennial writing—novels, essays, sketches, scripted interviews, and short fiction—will explore how he imagines southern hemisphere spaces in interconnected ways in this work, and his efforts to foreground and better understand perspectives from the far south.
